A peaceful, beautiful hideaway in Joshua Tree!
We loved our peaceful, beautiful stay! We woke up to bunnies and quail bouncing along just outside our sliding glass doors every sunrise and sunset! We started calling these hours, Happy Hours, and they are not to be missed! Such an incredible reconnect with nature! The Rockotillo is snuggled right up to the boarder of the park and the views of the rocks are simply awe-inspiring! And the stars at night!!! Oh my, the star gazing from the hot tub is remarkable! The Rockotillo is the perfect Glamping experience in my mind! Rocks, nature, stars, sparkling clean cabin, comfortable bed, climate control, sexy cool bathroom (just remembering the fabulous shower brings a smile to my face!! SO fun!), lovely spotless kitchen. It’s a little slice of desert heaven. Our stay turned out to be such a peaceful retreat. We will definitely be back! Our hostess, Laurie, was so great and responsive and accommodating - she really helped make communication and our stay lovely. SO, so happy that we found The Rockotillo!!!

Exceeds expectations – new favorite getaway!
If you are looking to immerse yourself in the peace and beauty of Joshua Tree and enjoy all the comforts of home, this is the place for you. The location, on the edge of pristine wilderness and a short drive to the National Park cannot be beat. With a hammock, Jacuzzi and patio to take it all in. The interior of this cabin is pristine and is thoughtfully and generously appointed. Comfy bed too. I wouldn't change a thing, except come for a longer visit next time to take it all in. Nealy
Wow Wow Wow this place is magical!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood and we found it - the location was perfect, as it was secluded and private with a beautiful view, while still being close to the main part of Joshua Tree. We also loved the hot tub that had an incredible view of the stars, super comfortable bed, amazing spa-like shower, bluetooth speaker connected to the house, hammock, a super cute remodeled/retro kitchen with everything you may need, and to top it all off the place was immaculately cleaned and well decorated. I will be telling all my friends to book Laurie's place and we will be coming back for sure! Katy
Exceptional place to stay in Joshua Tree!
This property is incredible - nestled among the rocks on the west side of the National Park you'll get to know your neighbors (quail, coyote, jackrabbits, ...) pretty quickly! I loved hearing the coyotes sing every night. The remoteness is excellent for stargazing - the Milky Way is vivid and there were so many visible stars. The cabin itself has well thought out amenities - a couple choices of coffee maker, Henckels kitchen knives, Bluetooth stereo, gas grill, full size refrigerator, hammock, hot tub, stargazing windows, And did I mention the bathroom? Rancho Rockotillo is a true gem among the rocks!
If you’re looking to getaway and enjoy the beauty and serenity of the desert with the amenities and thoughtfulness of a luxury hotel, then this is your place! We could not have asked for more. Perfect - from the blinds to the hot tub, hammock, grill, kitchen, stepping stones, little design touches, even the blankets and towels! All around great experience…we loved walking through the rocks and soaking it all in, watching the sun set, and star gazing from the hammock. It was so quiet we could hear the hummingbirds collecting nectar and so serene, we were able to see jack rabbits, and many birds. Laurie is also an exceptional host and extremely quick in her response time. Truly made for a wonderful and restful experience. Kari
I’d 100% stay here longer if I could!
I’ve stayed at Air BnB’s 4 times now in Joshua Tree. Laurie’s Cabin is by far the coolest for its location. The view from the bedroom/living room window is incredible. We would wake up to the sunrise and watch the bunnies run around the desert. The hot tub was incredible as we used it each night under the stars. There’s close hiking trails to get lost in the amazing rocks a stones throw away from the cabin. Laurie was excellent at suggestions and EXTREMELY quick responses for simple questions about cooking ware in the house. The shower was super nice and the sitting rock is a cool touch. The bed was very comfortable as well. Also, the kitchen was stocked with things we needed and we were so thankful for that! Thanks for having us!! We will be back soon!! Giovanni
Laurie's place seems like it’s in its own private park. Beautiful unobstructed views. Close to official park entrance, so its easy to get in early before the crowds. The cabin has an awesome kitchen and supplies, a dope sound system inside for music lovers. The jacuzzi tub is also super powerful – nothing in this rental is low-grade. I was very impressed. Best airbnb I have ever stayed at!
Laurie’s backyard is a magical desert landscape that goes on forever and is a true Joshua Tree experience. It was like stepping into a home with everything and more, with modern features and the amenities to cook what ever you wanted. Laurie is real cool and wonderful and someone you would want to take you to a gig at the local bar. Will definitely only stay here next time we come to Joshua Tree again. Robert

From the moment we drove up, we knew we never wanted to leave. I wanted to find the perfect place for my husband's birthday, and this went beyond my high expectations. The views are AMAZING!!
